We are two tenant associations who joined together to defend ourselves against a corporate real estate investment hydra that seeks to expel us from our homes in order to maximize their profits.
The heat is back on and its now 82 degrees in my apartment. Been this way for 2 days. Someone just turned it all the up and walked away. If you try to control it by turning down one of the radiator its makes a loud clanging violent noise. So stuck with 82 degrees and all the windows open. Is there no thermostat on the boiler? A waste of the fuel. When we had a Super he would monitor the boiler so there was none of this nonsense. It was safer too. Now someone just flips the switch and disappears for a week or more. Seems kinda dangerous.
Yes the heat is back and its on full blast. No thermostat. Its better than no heat, but it seems a waste. Its hard to understand the mindset of the Management Co. I do agree with you that it may be unsafe. It does appear like someone turned on the boiler to its maximum capacity and walked away. When we had a Super, he would never let this happen. Let's pray that it is safe. In the meantime, open all the windows.
A condition one would want to avoid is possible.
ReplyDeleteThe Mayo Clinic is in Rochester Minnesota. I image they know what they are talking about when it concerns the cold.
