We are two tenant associations who joined together to defend ourselves against a corporate real estate investment hydra that seeks to expel us from our homes in order to maximize their profits.
Mounting Unrest
Another dissatisfied Westminster tenant has made their anger known. This Procter Silex hot plate box, in French, was affixed to the door facing the street for the public to see, late last night. It has since been removed , suggesting that someone from management or the "Super" were here today. Either scenario, is an extremely rare phenomenon here on East 4th St. One is more likely to encounter a Sasquatch.

ReplyDeleteWhy not place those boxes in your windows?
ReplyDeleteDead meat.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant idea Resident Angel. Gives a whole new meaning to the concept of the "window box".
ReplyDeleteTelling that someone from management took the trouble to peel the 'Bring Your Own Kitchen' placard off the door. Behind the door, of course, is a lobby full of trash, flyers and dirt. It still looks dirty. But way better to stifle resident sentiment than do something practical to improve living condition for the stove-less
ReplyDeleteSorry to disappoint, but it was another resident of the building (me) that tore it down in frustration (of still not having gas) on Friday night.
ReplyDeleteRemoving clues pointing towards, crimes, harassment, and chronic mismanagement. Hmmmm, which side are you on Mackey?
DeleteSounds like Mackey is on the "Let them eat cake" side.
DeleteManagement mole?
DeleteUh, I'm on your side. The no hot water was horrible and the the no cooking gas is not great either. Don't go attacking me over this - lets work together instead of attacking each other. What about posting something on the door calling all tenants together to stand up to Westminster?
DeleteYou're a shoot the messenger sort of guy, mackey, right?
DeleteWhile there is a housing court action slowly forming, its always good to have a bit of mischief about. Its good for the tenant morale, keeps interest up, and landlords hate it. Squelching it...... well you know. Just saying.
DeletePosting something on the first floor calling tenants together is a good idea. Cooper Square Committee, 61 East 4th St, is happy to assist in these matters.
